One of these is theory of Emotional Intelligence (or EQ, Emotional Quotient), which was popularized by American psychologist Daniel Goleman in his book ‘Emotional Intelligence’. Emotional Intelligence includes skill such as understanding one’s own emotion and relating well to other people. Goleman believes that a person’s EQ is as important as his or her IQ. He proposes that people be given more training in school and at work to develop their Emotional Intelligence.
